Lancashire MP calls for Olympics to be permanently held in Greece

The Olympics should be permanently based in Greece to stop politics interfering in the Games, a Lancashire MP has said.
Ribble Valley MP Nigel Evans has urged the International Olympic Committee to hold every Games in Olympia.

The suggestion comes amid the continued chaos surrounding the Beijing 2008 Olympic torch relay.

Mr Evans said: "The current system will always bring problems relating to the regime of the host country."
