Europe’s Plan to Colonize Greece

By David Dayen, FDL

In a previously-secret document, European countries demand Greece to institute 38 specific changes to their government structure as a condition of the bailout.

The reforms, spelt out in three separate memoranda of a combined 90 pages, are the price that Greece has agreed to pay to obtain a 130 billion euros second bail-out and avoid a sovereign default that the government feared would throw Greek society into turmoil.

They range from the sweeping – overhauling judicial procedures, centralising health insurance, completing an accurate land registry – to the mundane – buying a new computer system for tax collectors, changing the way drugs are prescribed and setting minimum crude oil stocks.

“The program is much, much more ambitious than economic reform,” said Mujtaba Rahman, Europe analyst at the Eurasia Group risk consultancy. “This is state building, as typically understood in traditional low-income contexts.”

Our Depraved Future of Debt Slavery (Part II)

By Ashvin Pandurangi, The Market Oracle

There have been many forms of “debt slavery” throughout history, and almost everyone is chained to the oppressive financial, corporatist system now in one way or another. Although, this fact has not even remotely sunk in for millions of people who, unfortunately, have absolutely no clue how bad it can get. The real issue here, however, is not necessarily what people will have to do to survive the upcoming storms. Rather, it is what they will be forced to do to remain a functioning part of the system under threat of excessive monetary punishment, physical confinement or violence to them and/or those close to them. So, one must be financially/coercively attached to the system to be a “debt slave”.

If you are allowed to voluntarily downsize your living standards and retain some freedom of movement/action, then you are not really a slave. And that's not meant to demean the existential struggle of the chronically unemployed and/or homeless people living on the streets or in the subway, whose numbers are bound to increase and many of whom will die of sickness, cold and hunger, but it's hard to say that they are “attached” to our economic system of complicity and coerced participation. The most obvious way this slavish attachment forms is through personal debts/obligations.

That’s why it’s very important to pay off your mortgage(s), car loans, student loans, outstanding balances on past bills, etc., throw away your credit cards and generally avoid taking on debt at all costs. However, that is not a panacea for avoiding debt slavery by any means. One reason is that, as mentioned in Part I, creditors and third party debt collectors may literally conjure up debts for people who never agreed to take on those debts, by failing to account for payments, illegally jacking up interest rates, retro-actively inserting penalty clauses and other similar tactics. Or, they may simply doctor up brand new “contracts” that never existed.

The people with the endless bios - An introduction to the world we live in

Joël van der Reijden, Institute for the Study of Globalization and Covert Politics

Turns out it's quite a challenge to write a decent introduction to the information available on this website. The issue at hand is enormously complex and a lot of work still needs to be done. We'll give it a try anyway and discuss the history of the globalist movement, including 19th century Britain, the US, Canada, Israel, the European Union, and the opening up of both Russia and China. In the process we'll determine the absolute core of this globalist network and provide an extensive biography with each name. Then we'll put forth a theory that might explain why ordinary politics and the hidden globalist group go hand-in-hand without the latter being exposed by anyone on "the inside," whatever that means. At the end we'll take a look at who's behind the sustainable development movement and the United Nations while discussing the rather disturbing information that was brought to light by George Hunt in the late 1980s and early 1990s. I suggest you pay attention to the fine print in this article and read the biographies provided, otherwise it will be much more difficult to see how this relatively small group of people are all closely knit together.

The basic premise of this article is that an old boys network of low-profile, privately-funded, and intelligence-ridden institutes exercise a huge amount of influence over local governments, the media, universities (science), and the policies of the multinational corporations (who fund these networks). The names of about 150 of these institutes have been listed in appendix A and about 1400 names plus biographies, ranging from the most complete available to very basic, are available in the different membership lists. A smaller list of globalist institutes are chronologically ordered in appendix B, together with the persons who founded them and some of the connections they had. Appendix C contains the genealogies of the Rothschild, Warburg, Rockefeller, and Morgan families, which might come in handy at times. A partial Cecil bloodline is also listed there, although that one has been compiled for a different reason.

Below you can see a simplified sketch of the network that will be discussed. At this point I consider The Pilgrims, Le Cercle, and the 1001 the umbrella organizations (don't take this to literally), because together they encompass all aspects of the globalist movement: the leadership of all the other private globalist institutes, Anglo-American business and banking, Paneuropean Catholic fanatics, multinationals worldwide, old blue blood family lines, Western and Middle-Eastern intelligence, the illegal arms trade (1), and the environmental movement. Taken together, there's little doubt these organizations form a privatized, permanent, and transnational government which exercises a huge amount of direct and indirect influence over many parts of the world. Additionally, there's also the question if there's a central core within this group that might set the policies, or if there's another, even more hidden group that really sets the agenda (largely a reference to rumors about the military-industrial complex). We just don't know at this point.

WikiLeaks' Stratfor Dump Lifts Lid on Intelligence-Industrial Complex

by Pratap Chatterjee, Common Dreams

What price bad intelligence? Some 5m internal emails from Stratfor, an Austin, Texas-based company that brands itself as a "global intelligence" provider, were recently obtained by Anonymous, the hacker collective, and are being released in batches by WikiLeaks, the whistleblowing website, starting Monday.

The most striking revelation from the latest disclosure is not simply the military-industrial complex that conspires to spy on citizens, activists and trouble-causers, but the extremely low quality of the information available to the highest bidder. Clients of the company include Dow Chemical, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Raytheon, as well as US government agencies like the Department of Homeland Security, the Defense Intelligence Agency and the Marines.

Analysts working on the Middle East for the company appeared to be very poorly informed, with no more experience than a semester of studying abroad, according to journalists who have studied the documents. "They used Google translate to read al-Akbar news articles," says an incredulous Jamal Ghosn, associate editor of that newspaper in Beirut, Lebanon. "This is a guaranteed way for good intelligence to be lost in translation."

Bin Laden Death Coverup Continues: Compound Demolished

Brit Dee, Activist Post

The compound in& Abbottabad, Pakistan, which authorities claim was Osama Bin Laden's home for several years before his supposed killing by a US special forces team last May, has this weekend been totally demolished. Pakistani authorities began tearing down the house on Saturday night, working under floodlights, with the local population subject to a strict curfew and Pakistan Army soldiers and police personnel reportedly deployed in large numbers.

The high security surrounding the building since last May, coupled with its sudden and secretive demolition, have naturally led to suspicions that this weekend marked the successful completion of a brazen coverup -- journalists have never been allowed to enter the building, and were banned from going anywhere near it very soon after Bin Laden's supposed killing.

The total destruction of the death scene makes it much less likely independent verification of the official narrative will ever be established, though considering that no evidence proving Bin Laden was actually killed in the compound has ever been provided by the authorities, this weekend's events are hardly surprising.

Greek farmers offload crops at cost price

The Guardian reports:

...Faced with an ever deepening recession, some local groups have begun coming up with novel ways to beat the financial crunch.

Ilias Tsolakidis, 54, part of a volunteer group in northern Greece, said he contacted a potato farmer in northern Greece last week and posted an advertisement on the internet offering consumers the chance to order directly from the producer at cost price. He was overwhelmed by the response: by Wednesday, all 24 tons of potatoes on offer had been sold, with 534 families putting in orders..

iFixit's Statement to the Copyright Office about Jailbreaking

US Copyright Office,

Please extend the smartphone jailbreaking exemption from the DMCA, and add similar exemptions for tablets and game consoles.

iFixit has been teaching people how to fix their stuff since 2003. We’ve kept millions of electronics devices out of landfills by extending their lifespan.

iFixit has always stood up for individuals’ right to modify and repair the devices they own. We believe that devices should be openable, screws should be non-proprietary, and repair manuals should be free and open-source. Today, we’re standing up for users’ right to modify the software on stuff they own for four major reasons:

1. Jailbreaking extends the life of devices. Lots of devices being made today have hardware that will last long beyond when the software will be supported and relevant. Apple has already stopped supporting the software on the iPhone 3GS, for example, even though there are many still in use. Hundreds of volunteer programmers have built software that repurposes these phones for a variety of new uses unanticipated by the manufacturer.

2. By extending the life of devices, jailbreaking can help prevent electronic waste (e-waste). If users are able to upgrade and modify the software on devices they currently own, they’ll be less likely to throw those devices away. E-waste is a huge, growing problem: mounds of toxic electronic trash are piling up around the world. Many people are repurposing outdated XBoxes as home media consoles. Encouraging this reuse would dramatically reduce the number of game consoles that are thrown away.

Bio-electromagnetic Weapons: The ultimate weapon by Institute of Science in Society

A weapon system that operates at the speed of light, that can kill, torture, enslave and escape detection, Harlan Girard

The ultimate weapon

Electromagnetic weapons operate at the speed of light; they can kill, torture and enslave; but the public are largely unaware that they exist, because these weapons operate by stealth and leave no physical evidence. Electromagnetic weapons have been tested on human beings since 1976. By widely dispersing the involuntary human test-subjects, and vehemently attacking their credibility, it has been possible for the United States to proceed with these human experiments unhindered by discussions or criticisms, let alone opposition. This ultimate weapon system is currently being deployed in Iraq. The US Air Force and the Marine Corps refer to it as “active denial technology”, as if it were used purely for defense, but it is not (see Box 1)...

...Two interesting and important articles on bioelectromagnetic weapons have recently appeared in the New Scientist: “Maximum pain is aim of new U.S. weapon” and “Police toy with ‘less lethal’ weapons”, both written by David Hambling [15]. See also US. Patent 6 536 440 of March 25, 2003 [16]...

US congressman tables bill for Baloch right to independence

Huma Imtiaz for The Express Tribune:

Nearly a week after he chaired a Congressional hearing on Balochistan, US Congressman Dana Rohrabacher introduced a resolution in the US House of Representatives calling upon Pakistan to recognise the Baloch right to self determination.

The motion, which has been co-sponsored by House Representatives Louie Gohmert and Steve King, highlights Balochistan’s troubled past with the centre after the creation of Pakistan.

According to the text, ‘revolts’ in 1958, 1973 and 2005 “indicate continued popular discontent against Islamabad’s rule, and the plunder of its vast natural wealth while the province remains the poorest in the country.”

It is US policy to “oppose aggression and the violation of human rights inherent in the subjugation of national groups as currently being shown in Iran and Pakistan against the aspirations of the Baloch people,” said the motion.

In secret deal, ISI allows U.S. drone war to resume

LinkParveen Swami writes for The Hindu:

Pakistan's military has agreed to the resumption of the United States' drone strikes against terrorist groups operating on its soil, highly-placed diplomatic sources told The Hindu.

The agreement, the sources said, was hammered out by Inter-Services Intelligence chief Lieutenant-General Shuja Ahmad Pasha and Central Intelligence Agency director David Petraeus at a secret meeting in Doha last month.

The pact ends a six-week cessation of operation that began after a November 26, 2011 U.S. airstrike claimed the lives of 24 Pakistani soldiers.

Islamabad had responded to the deaths by shutting down drone flights from the Shamsi in Balochistan, and ordering dozens of CIA staff out of the country.

Pakistan's intelligence chief also agreed, the sources said, to allow the CIA to expand its presence at the Shahbaz airbase near Abbottabad. The base is a key hub for the CIA's field networks to identify targets and plant electronic microchips that guide drone-fired missiles to their targets.
