Nov. 11, 2011 is World Freedom Day A Beginners Guide to 'Occupy' from Liam Tate on Vimeo.
By Steve Beckow
As a sovereign citizen of Planet Earth, I declare Nov. 11, 2011 to be World Freedom Day.
On 11-11-11, I invite all the people of the world to reclaim whatever freedom and power have been lost to them in all aspects of our common life – politics, economics, education, religion, relationships, medicine, and all other areas.
As a non-violent act of conscious resolve, I ask everyone on Earth to stop whatever they’re doing at 11:11 (local time) on 11-11-11 and spend one minute in silence, not working (unless in emergency services), not consuming, and not distracting ourselves.
Those who safely can I invite to come down to the center of the village, town or city to join with our brothers and sisters everywhere and spend one minute in silence, upon leaving which everyone will utter the simple statement: “This world is free. It has always been free. It will always be free.”
At 11:11 on 11/11/11 we’ll show each other how strong and universal is the desire on Earth to take back our political freedom, economic justice, religious tolerance, racial understanding, social harmony, and global peace.

Syria amateur video: Huge blast as troops shell Homs, protesters under fire
Syrian troops stormed a restive neighbourhood in the rebellious city of Homs, kicking in doors and making house-to-house arrests in an area that has spiralled out of government control for nearly a week. Amateur video showed a large explosion in Baba Amr, a major centre of resistance, purportedly a tank strike, and people were seen running for cover as automatic weapon fire could be heard. In some of the first pictures to emerge of the aftermath of the fighting, some homes had been allegedly shelled and rubbish was piling up on the streets as collections were suspended by the fighting.

A Beginners Guide to 'Occupy'
A general introduction to the motivation behind the Occupy movement.
This film is by no means an extensive documentary of their agenda but more of a general overview for anyone who doesn't understand 'what it's all about'. I hope this can help to re-address the, largely distorted view, that the mainstream media presents of the Occupy movement. Filmed at College Green, Bristol, UK.

Occupy Movement Occupies a Foreclosure Auction with Anti-Foreclosure Team
Just before 11 am today- November 8, 2011, members of the Worcester Anti-Foreclosure Team (WAFT), homeowners Pablo and Shirley Travieso and family, and members of Occupy Worcester lined up in front of the Traviesos' two-story house at 24 Illinois St., drowned out the voice of auctioneer John Baker by chanting loudly, and blocked his entry to the property. The 44 protesters held signs and their chants included "Bank of America/Bad for America", "Banks got Bailed Out/We got Sold Out", and "What does democracy look like?/This is what democracy looks like!" The auctioneer, John Baker, acting for Bank of New York Trust, trustee for a bundle of mortgages in which this one was included, gamely proceeded with the auction at 11am despite the noise, and as there were no other bidders, the bank took back the house for $79,900.
