NY Billionaire Mayor's Girlfriend Punishes Working Families Over Occupy Wall Street

On December 1, 2011, locked-out Sotheby's art handlers confronted Sotheby's board member Diana Taylor at her meeting of the Hudson River Park Trust. These workers, locked out of their jobs for 4 months, asked Taylor why she isn't helping New York's working families.

Teamsters Local 814 members have been joined by Occupy Wall Street in protests against Sotheby's callous treatment of its workers. Taylor serves on the board of Brookfield Properties, which recently ordered the eviction of the Occupy Wall Street encampment at Zuccotti Park. She is also Mayor Michael Bloomberg's domestic partner.

In the video, Taylor states, "I have only one thing to say to you. I have had one conversation with [Sotheby's CEO] Bill Ruprecht about this, and I told him that if he accedes to any of your demands, I will resign from the board."
