This clip is taken from the full DVD "Bob Dylan After The Crash", it's part of an interview with crazy A.J Weberman, a fanatic fan of Dylan, where he explains why he had to go through Dylan's garbage (!!!) in order to reveal the secret of Dylan's writing...

This clip is taken from the full DVD "Bob Dylan After The Crash". A.J Weberman, a totally fanatic fan of Dylan, explains his political views of Dylan's choices and we can hear his own private old recording from the 60's where Dylan is really angry with Weberman, and offering him to interview him like a normal human being.

Pre-Occupied - The origins and future of Occupy Wall Street

This is how Occupy Wall Street began: as one of many half-formed plans circulating through conversations between Lasn and White, who lives in Berkeley and has not seen Lasn in person for more than four years. Neither can recall who first had the idea of trying to take over lower Manhattan. In early June, Adbusters sent an e-mail to subscribers stating that “America needs its own Tahrir.” The next day, White wrote to Lasn that he was “very excited about the Occupy Wall Street meme. . . . I think we should make this happen.” He proposed three possible Web sites: OccupyWallStreet.org, AcampadaWallStreet.org, and TakeWallStreet.org.

“No. 1 is best,” Lasn replied, on June 9th. That evening, he registered OccupyWallStreet.org.

How do you write crime fiction in the wake of a massacre?

If this disjunction between an apparently settled state and a violently restless literary imagination is a well-established Scandinavian phenomenon, it is most pronounced in Norway, the most benign of the Nordic nations in practice and the most malevolent in prose. It's as if a generation of Norwegian crime writers took the advice of the nation's two giants of literature a little too literally. "Wake the people up and make them think big," said the dramatist Henrik Ibsen, and the Nobel laureate Knut Hamsun declared that writers should describe the "whisper of blood, and the pleading of bone marrow". The result has been as vivid and incongruous as spilt guts on virgin snow.

Big Six Pesticide Manufacturers to Face Human Rights Tribunal

Beginning on December 3, 2011, some major international chemical companies will be facing a public tribunal dealing with their well-documented and systemic human rights abuses that have occurred all over the world.

The tribunal is not legally binding as it is not being administered by any governmental body. However, it will serve to shed light upon the egregious assault on human health and economic independence by the major chemical corporations.

The public trial will be directed by The Permanent People’s Tribunal , an organization that has held human rights tribunals in the past dealing with issues as diverse as Tibet, the Armenian Genocide, and the United States intervention in Nicaragua.

The tribunal will hear expert testimony from medical doctors, scientists, and lawyers in order to prove the charges against the chemical giants. It will also hear from the victims – farmers, consumers, and parents – who will testify as to their experiences and injuries stemming from the policies of major international corporations who have made fortunes while destroying the health and environment of billions of people.

Pesticides Action Network (PAN) International , a worldwide organization that is “dedicated to challenging the global proliferation of pesticides, defends basic rights to health and environmental quality, and works to ensure the transition to a just and viable society,” has exerted enormous effort and years of research and data collection in order to present indictments before the tribunal.

PAN UK activist Nick Mole stated

The pesticide industry is massive and incredibly powerful. It is difficult to prove corporate manslaughter even when these products are killing hundreds of people a year. We’ve spoken to people who have been abused and we are allowing them to give voice to their individual stories. We will be presenting the outcome of the Tribunal to the corporations and will be inviting their responses.

Obviously, Mole’s statement is accurate regarding the scale of corporate crimes. If anything, it is an understatement.

According to the Ecologist , the “Big 6,” – Monsanto, Bayer, Dow, Syngenta, DuPont, and BASF, - control 74 percent of the global pesticide market. Not only that, but statistics provided by the World Health Organization show that around 355,000 people are suspected to die each year from “unintentional toxic chemical poisoning,” many of them from use or exposure to agrochemicals; specifically pesticides like the ones produced and distributed by the Big Six. Yet even these numbers are likely understated due to corporate interests within the United Nations structure.

Israeli women take off clothes for Egypt “nude revolutionary” blogger

As an act of solidarity with Egypt’s Aliya el-Mahdy, 40 Israeli women posed for a nearly naked photo in protest of limited expression in Egypt, however, not fully displaying their intimate parts for the camera.

“Girls, let’s give the world a good reason to see the unique beauty of Israeli women. Regardless of whether they are Jewish, Arab, straight or Lesbian – because here, as of now, it doesn’t matter. (…) Let us show the doubters that our international discourse doesn’t depend on governments,” the Israelis wrote on their Facebook page in solidarity.

Or Tepler, an Israeli 28-year-old woman, opened a Facebook event inviting women “to show support in a non-violent and legitimate way for a woman who is just like us – young, ambitious, full of dreams and evidently has a developed sense of humor.”

Tepler was inspired by el-Mahdy, a 20-year-old Egyptian university student, who shocked Egyptian society last week when she posted a naked photo of herself in protest against the limits on free expression in the country.

For Tepler it seems to clear: “When a liberal, enlightened woman in Cairo cannot express herself and gets threats from her state, we should show solidarity.”

Learning from Exarchia - Greek Anarchist Infrastructure and spacial appropriation

Next we went to what is famously known as "the benches." When I pictured "the benches" and their surrounding alleyways I imagined a super crucial and expansive hangout zone. I arrived to find two and a half cement blocks with no backrest nor green space. Lily explained what happens here, "Anytime you walk by you can find anarchists sitting here. Except now, those people don't know why they are sitting there. Keeping walking." She turned toward the adjacent wall, which was lined with outdoor dining, raised her voice and pointed, "Up until recently this whole alleyway was ours, and covered in paint too! When this restaurant opened they ruined everything. Everything!" The benches of Patission made a huge impression on me. Everyone thinks the Greeks are so lucky because they have much more conquered living space, as opposed to the U.S. where every plot of earth has been tilled and marked for sale, sequestering any opportunity of play for profit by the enemy. We think that because of this we have no option but our couches and the couches of our friends. We think we have no territory. Yes, the Greek anarchist space is blessed with abandoned buildings, universities, squares, and parks, but it is also a network of tiny, hidden corners that are being taken advantage of. And we, like them, have city benches; designed for boring ok cupid dates, or a long talk between a father and his son or maybe for spectating a game of basketball. That should no longer be their only use.

Mossad vs Assad? 'CIA death squads behind Syria bloodbath'

Moscow has accused the west of stirring up tensions in the Arab world by calling for the overthrow of the Syrian regime. Russia says calls from certain states for the Syrian opposition to avoid dialogue with the government, are only provoking further violence. Author and journalist Webster Tarpley, who's in Damascus, says, it's very simple, western powers are behind the violence in Syria.

CIA spy ring busted in Iran and Lebanon

United States officials are saying that shortcuts, unaccountability, laziness and general mismanagement are to blame for the compromising of several CIA informants in Iran and Lebanon who are now feared dead.

A CIA-led program in the Middle East is up in the air after officials confirmed to news organizations today that paid informants in Iran and Lebanon working for the US government have disappeared while attempting to infiltrate Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed military organization considered a terrorist group by the US.

Iranian intelligence minister Heidar Mosleh announced in May that more than 30 US and Israeli spies had been discovered and he quickly took to Iranian television to broadcast information explaining the methods of online communication that the agents would use to trade intel. Only a month later, Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah announced that two high-ranking officers within his own organization had been identified as CIA spies. Just now, however, does the US government confirm that not only is this information true, but they believe that the rest of their Hezbollah-targeted operations in the Middle East have been compromised.

Copenhagen City Council Moves To Legalize Marijuana

The city council of Copenhagen voted 39-9 Thursday night to set up a committee to explore how best to legalize and regulate the sale of marijuana in the Danish capital. The move is supported by Mayor Frank Jensen.

After the committee makes its recommendations, the issue will go to the Danish parliament, where similar efforts have been blocked in the past, but some Danish politicians are saying this time could be different.

The council vote paved the way for the council’s Social Affairs Committee to draft regulations making Copenhagen the first city in Europe to legalize marijuana sales. Holland’s famous cannabis cafes that sell marijuana are technically in violation of Dutch law, but are allowed under a policy of pragmatic tolerance.
